Cannon County High School Football Headed for Playoff Game at Loudon County

WOODBURY, TN — Cannon County Schools students, faculty, and staff will be released early on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at noon to travel to Loudon County in East Tennessee. The Cannon County Lions football team will face the Loudon County High School Redskins at 7 PM EST (6 PM CST) at Loudon High School, 1039 Mulberry Street, Loudon, TN 37774.  Travel time to Loudon High School will take approximately three hours with some delays possible on Interstate 40 near Crab Orchard.

Director of Cannon County Schools, Mr. William Freddy Curtis said, “We are incredibly proud of the Cannon County Lions football team, cheerleaders, and coaching staff for this historic accomplishment.  We have not only gotten to the playoffs, but have won the first game in the playoffs since 1978.  Due to logistics in the travel time, time change from Central Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time, and school buses availability, all Cannon County Schools will be dismissed at noon on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 to allow our students, faculty, and staff an adequate amount of time for travel to the historic game in East Tennessee.  I wish our CCHS Lions all of Cannon County’s best wishes for another historic milestone on Friday evening!  And know that they will make us all very proud to support our Lions football team and cheerleaders!”
